The construction of the Pyramid Hill Community Centre has been a significant and transformative project for the town, enhancing both local facilities and community connectivity. The project aimed to revitalise the ageing Senior Citizens Centre, transforming it into a modern, multi-purpose community hub.

The first stage of works focused on expanding the existing McKay Street facility. Key upgrades included the addition of an Allied Health wing for Northern District Community Health, spaces for maternal and child health services, a dedicated seniors’ room, a fully upgraded kitchen and hall, increased storage capacity, and improved accessibility features, including enhanced car parking.

Officially opened in April 2025, the completed centre now features four clinical consultation rooms, flexible meeting spaces, and landscaped outdoor areas designed to support health, wellbeing, and community engagement.
